Syracuse University Students Continue Weeklong Sit-In

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Entering the seventh day of a sit-in at Syracuse University, student protesters said Sunday talks are continuing.

For the past week, The General Body at SU has had a laundry list of complaints, and specifically protested administration decisions to close the Advocacy Center, a resource for victims of sexual assault, to stop funding community engagement programs started by former Chancellor Nancy Cantor, and to reduce funding for POSSE, a recruitment and scholarship program for minorities.
