Syria 2013: Latest Updates On Debate Over Airstrikes

Last week, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee debated on how to respond to the use of chemical weapons in Syria that have resulted in thousands of deaths. The group voted to allow an intervention in Syria of up to 90 days that bars the United States from putting "boots on the ground."

More members of Congress are leaning toward opposing a resolution to authorize a strike than backing one, but the debate continues.
