Reddit user leewickert was befuddled upon receiving this item from a Taco Bell in Milwaukee. See that cardboard container? You're seeing it correctly. It's inside of the taco.
The user says in the comments that the store took the cardboard taco back and replaced it with a normal one, but that didn't stop leewickert from posting a picture of it to Reddit and generating a slew of comments, which were generally incredulous.
The item in question appears to be a Cheesy Gordita Crunch with a Doritos Locos shell. The cardboard in the above photo comes with most Doritos Locos shells to prevent Doritos powder from coating the eater's hands. In this case, it probably wasn't so effective.
