'Take Me Out' Premiere: George Lopez Presides Over 30 Ladies Looking For Love (VIDEO)

'Take Me Out': George Lopez And The 'Flirty Thirty'

Adding a few new twists to TV dating shows, George Lopez introduced America to "Take Me Out" (Thu., 8 p.m. ET on Fox), featuring the "Flirty Thirty" and potential male suitors parading around in front of them trying to get their attention. Think of peacocks strutting their stuff and displaying their plumage.

In the case of one bachelor, that plumage included a shiny silver Speedo and some incredibly awkward "dance" moves. The premise of the show has the thirty women turn off their lights if they decide they're not interested. In this guy's case, every podium went dark.

After they strut for a bit, and if there are any lights still on, the guys head over to chat it up with George Lopez. If, after all the sharing is over, there are any lights remaining on, the guy gets to pick a lady from those still interested.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer acknowledged the cheesiness of the show, but declared they'll be watching it anyway. Summer is often about fluff on television, and this is just the kind of silliness that could wile away those warm summer evenings.

See what the guys do next to impress on "Take Me Out," Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
