Editors' Obsession: Talenti Gelato And Sorbet

Once in a rare while, our editors discover a product that we just can't stop talking about -- or eating. Through sheer goodwill (and absolutely no sneaky advertising deals with these companies), we're sharing our favorites with you in this column. Get ready to fall in love.

When it comes to ice cream and frozen desserts, we drive a hard bargain. We're picky about depth of flavor, creaminess and texture, so it's not often we unanimously worship one particular brand.

But when we sampled Talenti brand gelato and sorbet, our spoons dug into the plastic containers with universal abandon, and our small team polished off four pints in a flash. It's perfectly creamy, powerfully flavorful and it comes in a palette of flavors that we crave. See below for a list of their offerings.

The brand is named after Bernardo Buontalenti, a 16th-century Florentine architect who once famously unveiled an exquisite gelato as the finale of an unprecedented banquet he hosted. Talenti's products are 100 percent natural, kosher certified, gluten free (with the exception of one flavor), and contain no high fructose corn syrup.
