“Won Way”. How else would you describe Tamela Mann’s big win at the biggest night in gospel music? Her name is now a household name for both gospel and secular music lovers alike. Her journey to ‘this place’ is a testament to perseverance, faith in God and her gift. Mann ended Stellar weekend with one less than Travis Greene and took home six Stellar Gospel Music Awards at this year’s taping in Las Vegas, Nevada. Other notable winners include Kirk Franklin (Video of the Year- Wanna Be Happy), and Myron Butler (Contemporary Group/Duo of the Year; Group/Duo of the Year). Both Franklin and Butler contributed as producers of Mann’s “One Way” winning project.

With Stellar weekend complete, Mann has completed the first quarter of the 2017 major award show season with a whopping eight trophy wins. Mann and her project “One Way” were awarded in the categories of: Urban/Inspirational Single or Performance of the Year (God Provides), Traditional CD of the Year, Producer of the Year, Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year, Albertina Walker Female Vocalist of the Year and the biggest win yet- Stellar Gospel Music Award 2017 Artist of the Year.

*Programming Note* You can watch the 32nd Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards on TV One on Palm Sunday, April 9 at 6 p.m. ET with encore presentations at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET. Additionally, the Stellar Awards airs in national broadcast syndication on 170 stations in over 150 markets around the country from April 14 - May 7, 2017.

"One Way" is truly Mann’s biggest and best album yet, the liner notes prove it. Mann admits that the album 'stretched' her and she couldn't be more right! This album should be sub-titled: 'More Than One Way for Tamela Mann to sing you to Jesus'.

Mann says of the award-winning project:

“…the whole album…it’s just something for everybody and I think it’s just a great body of work.”

The Mann clan won’t have much time to revel in the big wins, though. They’re in the middle of a nationwide tour, their sitcom “Mann & Wife” returned to Bounce Television last week to over a million viewers, and their highly anticipated unscripted show “The Manns” debuted yesterday on TV One. As David Mann says, the Manns have a plan to “take over Tuesdays” with “The Manns” at 8 pm EST/ 7 pm CST each Tuesday evening on TV One and “Mann & Wife” airing at 9 pm EST/8 pm CST on Bounce Television. In addition to their television takeover, Mann’s newest single “Change Me” is impacting gospel radio around the country.

“Change Me” is one of the best songs on the album, if not the best. The song is just right for Mann who taps into a whole new level of ministry on the second round of the song's solo opening. From there, a good gospel round of "change me" and "change" make a bed for Mann's anointed adlibs. You’re sure to love the song, penned by the late Thomas “TC” Clay the moment you hear it. Gospel music needs an anthem on this level and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

David and Tamela Mann remain grounded and forever grateful for the support as they continue to make family and friends proud at home.
