Tauruses: Aries Is Bringing Change... Whether You Like It Or Not!

We are all in the same leaky boat, and you can be sure that somebody is going to stand up. The boat is going to tip, and when it does, some survive -- some don't.

What has brought all these irritating issues to a head so suddenly and unexpectedly? In astrology we call it the Aries transit, and the disruptions have only begun. Giving up control and accepting inevitable changes beyond your control will be hard for any Taurus. It only shows, however, that not one of us is insulated from the explosive and sudden transformations that come at us like a tornado. In your case, it is from a restless and rebellious people. It's happening to all Tauruses, from the Queen of England down to the regular Joes and Janes of the world.

Come to think of it, it almost doesn't matter what sign you are born under. Change is here. We are all subject to the same shifts and reversals that seem to come out of nowhere to interfere with your great plans. It's just that for Tauruses, it's almost impossible to fathom, mainly because you like things today just the way they were yesterday and things tomorrow just the way they were today.

No can do.

Astrologers have seen it coming through the planets Jupiter and Uranus as they enter the sign of Aries. Aries represents the intervention that always speeds evolution along. It is like the sudden appearance of the monolith in Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" -- the thing that zapped the apes into abstract thought.

Aries is unrest. It's the first kick of the fetus that lets you know, "I'm Alive! I'm here!" In world politics, it's the message from rebels and unhappy people that they are mad as hell and aren't going to take it any more. When people get mad enough, you can forget peace and quiet, mainly because the time has come for people to bug you with their constant needling. So, sure, it's bound to be an obnoxious annoyance, just when you think things are normal.

Boom! It's actually a healthy sign of life, but it signals a period of unrest everywhere. Politically, the Aries transit describes a phenomenon that is about to sweep the world. In every household, village and country, Aries is about to disturb the status quo and push for change. Nobody is satisfied and everybody is bored, and they all know something has got to happen and happen soon. Eruptions and disruptions are disturbing all the best laid plans of mice, men and women.

Everybody has to grow now. Social evolution is never comfortable; it costs money and, often, lives. We are all in the same leaky boat, and you can be sure that somebody is going to stand up. The boat is going to tip, and when it does, some survive -- some don't.

The Uranus transit may last only seven years, but it represents impatience to the nth degree. It is the bomb dropped in the middle of business-as-usual. It happens on city streets as well as in the most intimate family settings. This is happening everywhere and to everyone on Earth. There is no paradise to run to where you will not encounter the challenge to authority, disruption in the status quo and reversals of anything you thought you had all figured out.

At the same time, Pluto (the un-planet) is in Capricorn, with an effect which will last into the '20s. Pluto in Capricorn doesn't want rebellion or dissent of any kind. At best, it symbolizes a transformation in government, slowly effected by leaders who respect existing laws and seek to maintain -- above all things -- order. At worst, it is a punitive, controlling, reactionary authority figure -- blind to anything but its own self-interest.

Although change of this magnitude is never easy to face, you have to try to remember that it is healthy -- even if perpetrated by nutcases. I suppose a person would have to be a wacko to go up against a System that wields unimpeachable power, knowing that innocent people might get hurt. But... that is exactly what is happening, whether we like it or not.

This is how it will play out -- just you watch. Today's nut job could turn out to be tomorrow's hero. And vice versa.

You just have to decide which side you're on and how you want to be described in history.

Good luck.

P.S. The New York Stock Exchange, McDonald's, Proctor and Gamble and Israel are also Taurus. Draw your own conclusions.
