Although few people look forward to tax season, most will happily welcome a refund check -- according to Forbes, almost 80% of tax filers get money back, on average $3,053.

We've been looking into the best ways to use your refund on hot travel deals - even if the amount you get back is a lot more modest.

$300 or less

Caesars Palace, Las Vegas

Why:
This landmark resort features three pools (one is adults only) and spa facilities that even locals come to The Strip for. Shoppers prefer this property for its designer names at the Forum mall, and restaurants here range from affordable to upscale, from chefs including Gordon Ramsay and Bobby Flay.
