Taylor Swift isn't too far removed from "crazy cat lady" status. The megastar took to Twitter to post a video of herself explaining just what the Academy of Country Music awards are ... to her adorable cat, Meredith.
"You're new here, so you don't really know this yet, but this is coming up on a really amazing thing that happens every year -- the ACMs," Swift tells her cat. "You don't know how this goes, but I thought I'd just explain it to you."
Swift is nominated for three ACM Awards this year, including Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year.
"The thing about the ACMs is that it's fan voted," Swift explains to Meredith. "People can go on and vote once a day."
Although we have a feeling it may be a little difficult for Meredith to log on and vote for mama Swift, you can vote for the 22-year-old here.
And if Meredith was hoping to score Swift's plus one invite to the event, she better think again. Kevin McGuire, an 18-year-old cancer patient and mega "Swifty," invited the singer to his prom via Facebook. But when Swift regretfully declined his invitation, she offered up a pretty stellar consolation prize -- McGuire will be Swift's ACM awards date.
