Taylor Swift is known for her amazing ability to interact with her fans. Whether it's on Tumblr, at one of her concerts, or jamming out in real life, the singer never lets her Swifties down.
One of Swift's fans, 6-year-old Taylor Rayburn, recently got to meet her idol backstage at an Atlanta concert. According to the Tuscaloosa News, Rayburn was diagnosed with Stage 3 Wilms’ tumor, a rare type of kidney cancer, on April 27. The news outlet said that Rayburn apparently had surgery to remove a small tumor and one of her kidneys around the time of her birthday.
In a Facebook post by Allison Brinson Rayburn, Taylor's mom, she explained that the Atlanta concert was a belated birthday surprise for the young girl.
"We surprised Taylor this weekend and took her to see her favorite artist and very first concert ever!" read the Facebook post. "She wasn't able to celebrate on her real birthday so we thought we would surprise her and take her ... no idea her dream of meeting her would come true! "
"Taylor and her entourage were the sweetest and most humble people," wrote Allison. "She is just like you see on TV ... I think we were all starstruck! :)"
Allison also shared a picture of Taylor with Taylor Swift's mom, Andrea Swift.
During the concert, Andrea apparently spotted the younger Taylor in her seating area. Later, Andrea, who has cancer herself, took little Taylor to meet Taylor Swift backstage.
Looks like a night to remember!
