The conservative rocker appeared at a rally at Freedom Hill Amphitheater in Sterling Heights, Michigan, on Sunday to stump for Trump and play some music. He also had some things to say.
“[Michigan has] the hardest-working s**t-kickers mankind has ever known,” he said before grabbing his groin. “I’ve got your blue state right here. Black and blue. Each and every one of you have only 24 hours to convince the numb nuts that you know, that you can’t vote for criminals, you can’t vote for liars, you can’t vote for scam artists.”
Many pointed out the hypocrisy of Trump criticizing the lyrics of Jay Z and Beyoncé shortly after Nugent made the lewd gesture.
On Monday, Nugent went on a 16-minute Facebook Live diatribe about what it means to be an American and not voting for Hillary Clinton.
“I believe Donald Trump believes in the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Golden Rule, the 10 Commandments as the foundation for the greatest quality of individual freedom and quality of life in the history of humankind,” he said.
