Teen's Promposal To Friend With Disability Would Make Anyone Say 'Yes!'

The look on Ben Davis's face = priceless.

We bet this teen didn't see this coming.

Vee Nguyen told Ben Davis, a special needs student and sophomore at Everett High School in Lansing, Michigan, she'd ask him to her senior prom when pigs fly.

Then last Friday, in front of the entire student body, Nguyen's friends made flying pigs a reality for her elaborate and heartwarming promposal.

Nguyen, 19, decided to surprise Davis with the promposal at the school pep rally so everyone could watch.

"I thought doing it at the pep rally where there are a lot of students would be a great idea to spread the message and to let others know that no one should be treated any different," Nguyen told the Detroit Free Press.

During the assembly, all eyes were on Davis when the announcer called him down to center stage and presented him with a box that read, "I'll ask you to prom when pigs fly." After four pink "pigs" floated out of the box, Nguyen popped the question.

Davis has a rare condition known as pantothenate kinase-associated neurodegeneration or PKAN, which makes it hard for him to walk, chew and speak.

He met Nguyen two years ago during his freshman orientation as a part of their school's Navigators program -- a program which pairs students with special needs with a student mentor, according to the Detroit Free Press.

The two immediately hit it off and eventually started hanging out together outside of the program.

"I would eat lunch with him and we would have short conversations since it's hard for him to speak," Nguyen told the Detroit Free Press. Their friendship, she says, has taught her a lot about people with disabilities.

So when it came to deciding on a date for her senior prom, Nguyen knew exactly who to ask.

"Ever since I met Ben I thought he'd be the perfect person to ask because we're friends and we have this bond together," Nguyen told BuzzFeed. "I want him to get that experience. People with disabilities don't get the attention they want and no one really pays attention to them."

But on Friday, Davis was the center of attention -- and the joy on his face was undeniable.

Watch Nguyen's full promposal -- and Davis's response -- below.

"I'll ask you to prom when pigs fly" And he said Yes! I met Ben Davis two years ago and ever since then we became really good friends. He is such a sweet person with a kind heart and it's an honor being able to ask him to prom!
