At least five people were injured in shootings around Chicago Wednesday night, including a 16-year-old girl hit while sitting in the backseat of a car.

Police say the teen was in a car that pulled into a gas station at 42nd Street and Wentworth Avenue in the Fuller Park neighborhood about 9:40 p.m. Wednesday when a dark-colored SUV passed and opened fire, the Tribune reports.

The teen, struck in the buttocks, was taken to an area hospital and listed in good condition.

In Logan Square on the Northwest Side, a man standing on the sidewalk was injured in an apparent drive-by shooting in the 3000 block of West Fullerton Avenue around 11 p.m. He was treated at an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the back.

Less than half an hour later on the Far South Side in Roseland, a man whose age was unknown was shot in the hand in the 10200 block of South Prairie Avenue, the Sun-Times reports.

The shootings continued into the early morning hours of Thursday, when a 19-year-old man was shot by a gunman on foot in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood in the 6900 block of South Michigan Avenue about 12:14 a.m.

Around 1:30 a.m. DNAinfo Chicago reports a 38-year-old man was shot in the Austin neighborhood. The man was on the sidewalk in the 1600 block of North Latrobe Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain. He was hospitalized after the shooting.
