WATCH: Teen Sleeps On Southwest, Wakes Up In Wrong City

Keena McBee is accusing Southwest Airlines of negligence for leaving Erik McBee, her napping 15-year-old son, on a St. Louis-bound plane after the teen's flight landed in Tulsa, his final destination.

According to KPHO, Erik flew out of Phoenix, put his headphones on, fell asleep and woke up in St. Louis. He walked off the plane before realizing that something was amiss. The teen had no money, no cell phone and no way to get home or to Tulsa. He eventually resorted to calling 911.

"They said that they're not a taxi service and hung up," he told KPHO.

Erik wandered around the St. Louis area for some time, even entering a police station to ask for help. None was forthcoming. Almost 24 hours passed before a stranger finally helped him call home, at which point his mother started trying to figure out how Southwest had left her son on a flight for which he didn't even have a ticket. She says she was directed to call customer service the following day.

When Southwest called Erik's grandmother to apologize and offer a refund on his ticket, she had questions of her own.

"I think our main rub has been that Erik got lost and what the processes are to keep children safe on Southwest Airlines at all times, no matter what their age, whether they're 9 or 15. Could you guys look into that for me too?" she asked.
