Teens Are Getting Crazy With Duct Tape To Get Money For Prom

Duck brand is offering cash for epic promposals.

Prom is a right of passage and can be a night of pure luxury. The dress. The tuxedo. The corsage. The limo.

Prom is pricey.

Duck brand, which makes duct tape, is offering $1,000 to three couples in its very first Stuck at Prom Promposal Sweepstakes. All a person has to do in order to enter is use Duck Tape in an epic prom proposal, then post it to Instagram or Twitter with #DuckTapePromposal and #Sweepstakes.

There have already been some pretty fun and impressive proposal ideas out there. Teens are bringing out their best for a chance to make their prom unforgettable.

None of your ideas match up?

Youtuber Tanner Bell partnered with Duck brand to create a series of promposal ideas for those who might not know their way around a roll of tape. Bell worked with couples to find personal proposals that could easily incorporate a roll of Duck Tape.

The final day to enter the sweepstakes is April 5, but the winners will be chosen at random on April 7.

Those who aren’t chosen shouldn’t be discouraged, because as soon as promposal is over, the annual Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest begins. For 17 years, students have been creating dresses and tuxes entirely out of Duck Tape for a chance to win the grand prize of a $10,000 scholarship. All the couples in the top ten get a smaller cash prize to help offset the price of college or prom.

So it’s time to get stickin’.
