10-Item Wardrobe Spring 2014

This spring I have 11 core items (proving that you don't have to take the number 10 literally). As a working, stay-at-home mom of two small children, this washable wardrobe is wearable and chic and works for me.

A 10-item wardrobe consists of 10 (or so) core items of clothing and a small collection of extras (outerwear, tee shirts, accessories, etc.) that help pull it all together. Everything in your 10-item wardrobe should "go" with everything else.

Don't be intimidated by the number 10. If that is too low for you, keep a manageable number of core items that work for your lifestyle. The point of the capsule wardrobe is to help liberate you from a cluttered wardrobe of pieces that you never wear and that don't express your true style. The less clothing you have to pick from each morning as you are getting dressed, the easier it is to actually choose an outfit! And if you plan it carefully, you are more likely to wear your best on a daily basis instead of wandering around in exercise clothes all day long because you couldn't decide on what to wear.

This spring I have 11 core items (proving that you don't have to take the number 10 literally). I have five dresses, four blouses and two pairs of jeans (one white, one in light denim). As a working, stay-at-home mom of two small children, this washable wardrobe is wearable and chic and works for me.

Check out my video to see how the core pieces work in conjunction with each other and how they also pair beautifully with the extras. Then have fun compiling your own ten-item wardrobe for spring. This is the year to finally express your true style and wear your clothes with confidence. I'm telling you, once you try a ten-item wardrobe, you will never want to go back!
