Teresa Giudice and her family are opening up for the first time about her life behind bars in the latest issue of Us Weekly.
The 42-year-old, her husband Joe Giudice and their daughters appear on the cover of Us Weekly in a photo taken in the visitation room at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut. In the shot, the mother of four wears her green prison uniform and has her hair curly while smiling beside her family.
"I miss Joe and my girls terribly," she told Us Weekly through her lawyer.
Joe Giudice told "Extra" that the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star emails their daughters every day and they try to visit her in Danbury weekly. She has found a group of women to hang out with while serving her time. They go to the gym together and get their hair done.
The Giudices have been a staple on "RHONJ" since the show premiered in 2009. As for their future on Bravo, it all depends on what the network offers: “The numbers would have to be very big in order to go back so um, we'll see … as of right now there's nothing.”
Teresa Giudice began her prison sentence in January for bank and bankruptcy fraud. She is slated for an early release on Feb. 5, 2016. Her husband will serve his 41-month sentence afterwards.
