'Real Housewives Of New Jersey' Star Teresa Giudice Released From Prison

After almost a year behind bars, Teresa will be home for Christmas.

Teresa Giudice is home for the holidays.

The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star was spotted leaving the Federal Correctional Facility in Danbury, Connecticut, where she's been for nearly a year, early Wednesday morning. The 43-year-old was pictured heading home to Montville, New Jersey with her attorney James Leonard, Jr. in a photo obtained by People.

Leonard, Jr. confirmed to People in a statement that "she is free" after Giudice was released at 5:01 a.m. According to the Associated Press, Giudice will be on home confinement until Feb. 5.

"It's been very, very difficult for her and her daughters, but they've communicated," said Leonard Jr., speaking with Bravo's Daily Dish. "They've seen one another with visits and emails and phone calls. They've been able to Skype one another. She's been a daily presence in their lives. But, obviously, there's no substitute for actually not being there. So for her to come home and be reunited with them is something that both she and the girls are very much looking forward to."

Giudice began her 15-month prison sentence in January of 2015 for bank and bankruptcy fraud. Slated for early release, the "RHONJ" star was originally supposed to get out of prison on February 5, 2016. Her husband, Joe Giudice, will begin his 41-month sentence now that she's released.

Andy Cohen, host of Bravo's "What What Happens Live" already tweeted out a welcome message to the star:
