Texas Election 2012: Romney Expected To Topple Obama (LIVE UPDATES)

Romney Poised To Defeat Obama In Texas Elections

Mitt Romney looks set to win 38 electoral votes over Barack Obama in the Texas election on Tuesday. Republican Ted Cruz is likely to win the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison.

With little excitement in the Presidential contest in Texas, all eyes are on down-ticket races. Republicans look likely to lose their supermajority in the State House, though they will remain the dominant legislative force in both houses.

Texas polls open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Central Time
