Multiple tornadoes may have hit Texas on Wednesday, according to an Associated Press report.
The possible tornadoes were spotted northwest of Houston in Somerville, Brenham and Waller County.
The National Weather Service issued tornado watches for portions of the state, which can be viewed by clicking HERE. For the tornado watches issued in portions of Central and Eastern Texas, NWS wrote "A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings."
According to Reuters, the South Texas electric utility CP Energy "reported more than 30,000 customers without power as wind snapped electric power lines and knocked out traffic signals during the morning rush hour."

The storms have dropped several inches of rain in North Texas, flooding roads and delaying flights in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Houston airport spokeswoman Darian Ward says several flights have also been delayed in Houston.
Still, meteorologists say this will not end the historic drought.
National Weather Service's Victor Murphy told AP the rain was "just an improvement ... This drought's too severe and too prolonged for one rain event to just end the drought, especially in areas like Houston and Central Texas."
Texas experienced the driest year on record in 2011, and last year's wildfire season was recently declared the worst in history.
Earlier this week, Arkansas and Alabama were hit with severe storms and tornadoes. The Arkansas storms left thousands without power on Sunday. In Alabama, a community with a tragic tornado history faced further destruction on Monday.
