Thalía knows it can be hard to come between a child and his pacifier -- she’s tried it -- but the Mexican star is hoping to make the process a bit easier for other mothers with her new children’s book “Chupi.”

The book, whose title is derived from the Spanish word for pacifier, “chupón,” will be released by Penguin Books in both Spanish and English this November. The 41-year-old mother was inspired to write and design the children’s book after struggling to take away her daughter Sabrina’s pacifier.

"This was the story that I developed, as a personal technique, that worked to take away the pacifier," Thalía told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

“Chupi” will not only include illustrations designed by Thalía herself, but also the star’s first children’s album, according to the Spanish-language version of The Associated Press.

"It occurred to me to add the music, which is something I love, and have the opportunity to sing to kids for the first time and create a children’s album with classic songs that I grew up with, the same ones that my children love,” the Mexican singer and actress added.

The book will be distributed in the United States and Latin America.
