'The Amazing Race': The Real Drama Happens Before Leaving The Airport (VIDEO)

Airport Drama And Tears On 'The Amazing Race'

In more recent seasons of "The Amazing Race" (Sunday, 8 p.m. ET on CBS), very little time has been spent with the teams at the airport. With most teams winding up on the same flights these days, there just isn't that much going on that makes for compelling television. Unless, of course, you've got two teams bickering in line like high school kids.

Brendon and Rachel found themselves at odds with Vanessa and Ralph, as Vanessa and Rachel took jabs at one another. Because of their "Big Brother" notoriety, Brendon and Rachel have been the target of plenty of jabs already this season, but Vanessa made it a bit more personal after she and Ralph felt they were pushed rudely by the reality couple.

Vanessa talked about how, at 38-years-old, she still looked younger than the 27-year-old Rachel, and suggested she needed a nose job. It had nothing to do with strategy and everything to do with personal grudges that did not heal by the end of the leg.

Art and J.J. got involved in the drama, if only to stir the pot by revealing their suspicions that Nary and Jamie are not the kindergarten teachers they claim to be, but are rather in law enforcement. They're right about that, but Nary and Jamie aren't looking to admit it any time soon.

It was a brutal leg, and it came down to a marathon challenge that saw teams putting together a safari camp in Kilimanjaro. Nary and Jamie came in last, but escaped elimination, as this was a non-elimination leg.

More drama ahead as "The Amazing Race" continues on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
