'The Bachelorette': Cheryl Burke Would Love To Star In ABC Reality Series

Cheryl Burke: I Would Love To Be 'The Bachelorette'

Cheryl Burke has her eye on "The Bachelorette." The "Dancing With the Stars" pro told reporters she'd love to be the star of the ABC reality series in an upcoming season.

According to EW, Burke said she's met with some higher ups, but there's no offer.

“I did interview with the execs and we’ll see what happens in the future," Burke told EW following Monday's "Dancing With the Stars." “It’s not a firm offer. It hasn’t been an offer but if they offer it to me, I would love to do it.”

Rumors about Burke's involvement with "The Bachelorette" have swirled for weeks after she confirmed to E! Online that she's looking into other TV opportunities for when "Dancing With the Stars" eventually ends.

"I have met with the producers of 'The Bachelorette' and I also have met with ABC producers and development executives, just to develop other shows," Burke told E! Online. "I realize that 'Dancing' won't be on air forever. I'm taking this opportunity now to develop shows. I met with different high-powered producers, companies and networks about possibly doing new shows, and The Bachelorette happened to be one of them."

Burke told reporters she would welcome "The Bachelorette" in order to find someone she clicks with.

"It sounds crazy but I think I’m just so married to my work and I rarely meet new people," she said. "I’ve been around the same people for the last six years. I have maybe a month and a half of down time and all I want to do during that time is be with my family and sleep so it’s hard for me to be introduced to guys. I make the wrong choices."

"Dancing with the Stars" airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
