The Beauty Of Breastfeeding

For many moms, breastfeeding is a journey and sometimes a difficult one. Many stick through by sheer determination and gentle guidance. Many do not receive the support often needed to continue. During World Breastfeeding Week I was inspired to document breastfeeding. A printed memory, donated of a moment together which one day will come to an end.

Many people are not comfortable in front of a camera. I was nothing but a complete stranger to these ladies, yet the trust I felt from them as we shared stories was incredibly special for me as a photographer and perhaps most importantly, as a mom.

To people who are not yet parents, the people who are, and the mothers who are doing the best they can. This is breastfeeding how I saw it, in the summer of 2016.
