After years and years of being barraged by advertisements of companies claiming to be the best diet for weight loss – 👀we see you Jenny Craig – we can finally, without a shadow of doubt, say, the best diet for weight loss is an organic diet! What do we mean by organic? According to researchers from Yale University diets made up of mostly plants and limited amounts of processed foods are decisively associated with weight loss, health promotion and disease prevention.

What does this tell us? Weight loss is in the ingredients, not the marketing gimmicks! Go to your local grocery store or farmers market and buy organic products. That means buy produce grown without synthetic pesticides, bioengineered genes (GMOs), petroleum-based or sewage sludge-based fertilizers and buy meat/dairy produced by animals that have not been given antibiotics, growth hormones, or any animal by-products. As for your processed foods, read the labels and stick to the Five Ingredient Rule – why? Because the more ingredients listed on the label the more processed the food on the inside is.
