The Best Dressed Guys at the 2015 AMAs

The American Music Awards isn't one of those affairs where you know every guy on the red carpet is going to be decked out in a tux. In years past, the event has seen guys wear everything from severely cropped dinner jackets with printed pants to studded jackets with skulls printed on the lapels.

So it was actually a little bit of a relief to see a few guys at the 2015 AMAs, which took place in Los Angeles on Sunday night, wearing not-so-standard suits. Rest assured, plenty of young famous dudes cocked it up in some truly ridiculous clothing. Here's to the ones who got it right.

While Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan looked appropriately natty and British in their sharply tailored suits, Harry Styles put on a very '70s floral printed option that lots of rude people on Twitter compared to a matronly davenport. In reality it's from Gucci's spring 2016 collection, and fits perfectly with the classic English rock star aesthetic Styles has been cultivating over the past year.

Not to get too heavy handed about it, but this velvet jacket is exactly the kind of thing every truly stylish guy wants on hand for holiday parties.

Nick Jonas
The youngest Jonas brother did right by one of our favorite fall 2015 trends, wearing a turtleneck, even if doing so inspired some completely fair but not-too-kind "Hotline Bling" jokes.

This, gentlemen, is exactly how you want a suit to fit right now: Jacket slim but not nipped in, pants trim enough to wear without a belt. It doesn't hurt that the shade of blue is more royal than navy, which helps him stand out against the red carpet.

When you're wearing all black, details matter. Bridges, who has impeccable taste for a man of just 26 years, gets that, which is why his throwback tie is almost the exact same width as his blade-thin lapels.
