Festive

This year you don't have to fly south of the equator for an authentic carnival celebration because Brazilian Nites Productions is bringing all of the flavor of Rio de Janeiro here to Los Angeles for their 14th Annual Brazilian Carnaval: World Cup 2014. Head to Downtown LA's Club Nokia to experience elaborately dressed dancers, bumping music, authentic cuisine, and vibrant displays in honor of the party's World Cup theme. Guests of this all-out event will down Caipirinhas before making their way to the dance floor to jam out to Brazilian hits spun by top DJs. Their goal? To Samba the night away.

Exclusive

Awards season is here, and that only means one thing for us lucky Los Angelenos: it's party time. While wistful viewers across the country have to experience the glamour of the Oscars through their TV screens, we have the opportunity to chink glasses of Dom and brush elbows with Hollywood's finest at the host of fabulous screening and after-Oscar parties being held in LA. One such event is Elton John's Oscar Viewing/Dinner Party, an annual event that was attended by notable celebrities like Kate Beckinsale, Victoria Beckham, Harrison Ford, and Sharon Stone last year. And the best part is that you can feel good about your lavish partying as all proceeds of the event will be donated to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Iconic

It's been 40 years since Diane Von Furstenberg, one of the most influential designers and fashion icons in history, invented the wrap dress. And if you're a fashion buff like us, we know you're dying to celebrate. Check out the Diane Von Furstenberg: Journey of a Dress exhibit at the LACMA. The exhibit outlines the evolution of the wrap dress from one of DVF's early designs to its current status as a staple of women's fashion around the world through displays of vintage and contemporary designs, photography, art, and more.

Tasty

Do you drink more wine than Olivia Pope? Do you have a passion for delicious cuisine? Whether you're a wino or a foodie, the Herzog International Food and Wine Festival is your little piece of heaven on Earth. Featuring more than 225 wines from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Argentina, New Zealand, Australia and the United States, the festival offers guests an opportunity to sample selections from the wine-producing capitals of the world. And with decadent treats concocted by Chef Gabriel Garcia of Tierra Sur, your taste buds will be thanking you for weeks.

All-Out

The Ariel del Mundo carnaval celebration is everything you could ask of a traditional Brazilian festa. Hosted by Miss Brazil herself at Lure, one of the hottest clubs in Hollywood, this party features a full line-up of top DJs, artists, and bands. There will even be fun cultural displays from scantily clad (but extravagantly dressed) Samba dancers and skilled capoeira artists. Attendees get the best of carnaval and an unforgettable party all in one night.
