'The Big Bang Theory' Finale Left Us With A Crazy Cliffhanger

It all ended with a big bang.

Season 9 of "The Big Bang Theory" has had some of the show's most anticipated moments: Leonard and Penny tied the knot, Bernadette revealed that she's pregnant and then Sheldon and Amy finally did, you know, "it."

Then, on Thursday's finale, it all ended with a bang.

At long last, Leonard's father, Dr. Alfred Hofstadter (Judd Hirsch), has come to the show, making an appearance in honor of Leonard and Penny's upcoming second wedding. Unfortunately, the episode didn't even get that far.

Almost immediately, sparks start flying between Alfred and Sheldon's mom, Mary (Laurie Metcalf).

Both of them leave a pre-wedding dinner together after an argument with Leonard's mom, Beverly (Christine Baranski). They supposedly share a cab back to the hotel. Their sons try in vain to get a hold of them, and we're left wondering if they followed in Sheldon and Amy's footsteps and did, you know, more "it."

"The Big Bang Theory" has a history of ending its seasons on big cliffhangers. Season 7 ended with Sheldon leaving to find himself, Season 8 had Amy asking for some time away from Sheldon, and now we're left wondering what happened between Sheldon's mom and Leonard's dad.

Thankfully, the show will supposedly go on for at least another two seasons, so there should be plenty of time to sort it out. But, as Entertainment Weekly speculates, could Sheldon and Leonard potentially end up being brothers after this?

Sheldon probably hopes we say "bazinga" right now. Sorry, not this time, bro.
