'The Biggest Loser' Shocker: Fan-Favorite Contestant Falls Below The Red Line

'The Biggest Loser' Shocker: Fan-Favorite Falls Below Red Line

It was an elimination that probably came as a surprise to many viewers. After winning Season 2 of "American Idol," we certainly expected Ruben Studdard to last longer than four weeks on "The Biggest Loser" Ranch. And yet, he fell far short of his goals on the Ranch. Viewers will have to wait until next week to see how The Velvet Teddy Bear fared at home.

Ruben came onto the Ranch weighing 462 pounds. He was the biggest contestant in the house by nearly 50 pounds. He had a lot to lose and a lot to prove. Even though he was the second person eliminated this season, Ruben still felt like a winner as he was leaving. He learned a lot through the process, and vowed to continue his weigh-loss journey at home.

Ruben had a positive attitude and always put in the work. This week, it just wasn't enough as the Red Team lost its second weigh-in in a row. They look to get things back on track as "The Biggest Loser" continues every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
