The Black Lips Confront Gene Simmons On HuffPost Live

With their faces painted black and white, much like KISS, members of indie rock band The Black Lips ambushed KISS frontman Gene Simmons on Monday's edition of HuffPost Live, charging Simmons with misogyny and giving a set of demands.

"Mr. Simmons: we're here to tell you that the day of misogynistic rock and roll is over," guitarist Jack Hines shouted. "We call for the complete and utter surrender of the KISS army. Lay down your guitar."

Simmons, meanwhile, shot back with a personal attack.

"I want to compliment your mom for the wonderful way she designed the decoration on the basement that she lets you live in," Simmons said. "I think it's very attractive. I hope you get to leave your mom's basement soon."

The band tweeted at Simmons shortly after the segment, calling him "human garbage."
