'The Butler' New York City Premiere: Oprah & Mariah Carey Step Out For The Star-Studded Event (PHOTOS)

Oprah wasn't kidding when she said she loved the enormous Afro from her O, The Oprah Magazine September cover shoot. The media maven decided that she'd take the look to the streets -- or in this case, the red carpet -- at the New York premiere of her new film "The Butler" on Monday night.

Oprah ditched the 3.5 pound Afro wig she wore on the cover for a smaller version, which might even be her natural hair. Either way she looked fab working the red carpet -- complete with her longtime boyfriend Stedman Graham on her arm.

Meanwhile still on the mends from her dislocated shoulder, Mariah Carey stepped out wearing a black, studded sling to the premiere. The Grammy Award-winning singer really knows how to glam up an injury -- this edgy arm aid is just one of a collection of embellished slings.

Lenny Kravitz, Cicley Tyson, Andre Leon Talley and Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour were also on hand to fete the premiere, just to name a few.
