Carla Hall's Southern charm made her a fan-favorite on Top Chef All-Stars and a beloved host of The Chew. But when it comes to comfort food, Hall likes to widen the definition beyond just her favorite Southern classics. "I like all kinds of foods," Hall says, "but I want the kinds of foods that you might find in someone's home kitchen, the food people grew up on."

Her love of comfort food led her to write a new book with Genevieve Ko called Carla's Comfort Foods and it features recipes from across the world. The one thing they all have in common is their simple home style, that Hall believes makes them accessible no matter your background.
