Whether the Summly purchase itself turns the content world on its head or not, there's no getting around one fact: there's a lot of material online, from news to blogs to social media to videos to music, and some company is going to figure out a way to organize it and present it in a way that's personalized, relevant, stylish, easy to use and shareable. And for that company, $30 million will seem like a bargain.

Flipboard thinks they have the answer, with a new update that lets users create and curate their own magazines around personal interests, from content found all over the Web, including social media. Are they on to something? Well, users created over 100,000 magazines within 24 hours after the launch, so there's a sign.
