'The Corrections' On HBO Confirmed By Jonathan Franzen (VIDEO)

Jonathan Franzen Is Definitely Adapting 'The Corrections' For HBO

Great American novelist Jonathan Franzen told a packed house yesterday he's definitely adapting his sweeping third novel, "The Corrections" for HBO. There've been rumors about the HBO project since early September, but Franzen confirmed he, Scott Rudin and Noah Baumbach are indeed on board, though he didn't reveal Rudin's and Baumbauch's exact roles (no word on whether Anthony Hopkins will star). The news came during a segment of this weekend's New Yorker Festival. Stay tuned for our best of the fest roundup tomorrow, including quips from Steve Martin, musings from The National, and recollections from the reunited cast of "Arrested Development."
