We can't think of many things San Franciscans will embrace more openly than its heavy population of hipsters and techies. Except maybe a giant, free festival bringing together the ultimate in hipsterdom and technology.
Well, lucky us. For the first time in its history, The Creators Project, a collaboration between tech giant Intel and hipster bible VICE, will descend on Fort Mason March 17-18 for a weekend of art, music and innovation.
In addition to film screenings, panels, and colossal multimedia art installations -- all focusing on the intersection of art and technology -- Creators Project execs announced a killer lineup of musicians Tuesday, including live performances by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Squarepusher, the Antlers and Zola Jesus. To top it all off, LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy will spin a DJ set.
Did we mention this little gathering is free?

Nerd Bonus: The Creators Project joined forces with our friends at Gray Area Foundation for the Arts this past weekend for a 48-hour art hackathon. The top ideas to come out of the session will be on display in Fort Mason alongside the multimedia greats.
