What We Know About The Three New Correspondents On 'The Daily Show'

Host Trevor Noah kicks off the new season in about three weeks.

Yesterday, Comedy Central announced three new correspondents will be joining "The Daily Show"'s increasingly diverse "Best F*&#ing News Team Ever." They are Ronny Chieng, Desi Lydic and Roy Wood, Jr.

Who?

Valid question. Here's what we know:

RONNY CHIENG

Hails from: Melbourne, Australia

On joining TDS: "I'm excited to bring my attention to detail & knowledge of current affairs to working with Jon Stewart @TheDailyShow."

Also known for: Standup. Chieng has been touring Australia with sold-out shows all summer. He's also performed at major comedy festivals in Montreal, Edinburgh and Auckland.

Also known for: "Awkward" on MTV. Lydic comes from a trained comedic background, having performed at The Groundlings and Improv Olympic. You may also have spotted her in "We Bought a Zoo," "The Babymakers," or "The League."

ROY WOOD, JR.

Hails from: Birmingham, Alabama

On joining TDS: "Yo @007, I hope you don't let me working with the @TheDailyShow keep you from considering me for the new James Bond role. I'm flexible."

Also known for: Standup. He's done bits on "Conan," "The Late Show with David Letterman," "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and venues around the world, and regularly appears on @midnight. In Birmingham, Wood hosted a morning radio show known for its pranks.

Wood, Lydic and Chieng will join news team veterans Jordan Klepper, Hasan Minhaj, Jessica Williams, Lewis Black, John Hodgman, Al Madrigal, Aasif Mandvi and Kristen Schaal when the new season kicks off on Sept. 28 at 11 p.m.
