'The Daily Show' Slams Trump's Careful Wording On The Opioid Crisis

Words are cheap without the funding to back them up.

On Thursday, President Trump held an event in the East Room of the White House to draw attention to the opioid crisis happening in the United States. The CDC estimates 91 people die from opioid overdose every day.

“I am directing all executive agencies to use every appropriate emergency authority to fight the opioid crisis,” Trump said.

Host Trevor Noah explained the problem with Trump’s careful wording on the crisis on Thursday’s “Daily Show.”
