The Duggars Adopting? Jim Bob And Michelle Say They're 'Open To The Idea'

The Duggars Considering Adoption

Sounds like the Duggars are looking to expand their ever-growing brood.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, who already have 19 children, don't necessarily think their family is complete. The couple tells People that they are considering adopting a child in the future.

"We are open to the idea of adoption," Michelle tells People, adding, "We are praying about it, and we will see what God has in store. Love for children has been placed on our hearts."

And apparently it's not just Jim Bob and Michelle, both 45, who are eager to add to their family. The 19 Duggar kids are pressuring their parents to have another baby, after they lost their sister Jubilee following Michelle's devastating miscarriage in 2011.

"The kids are definitely pushing towards wanting us to open our home up to another child or more," Michelle admits. "They see how much we have been blessed with and how little so many children have and they want to share. We tell our children that would have to be something that is God's will for our family, and we will see if it is," she continues, "Our children love children, and we all do."

The Duggars admit that they have been influenced by friends who have adopted children and are simply waiting to find out if the process is "what God wants us to do."

"We are open to whatever is in store," Michelle admits. "It doesn't really matter whether I would have another child or we would adopt, but we want to approach it with an open heart."
