Yes, we technically have three weeks or so left of summer, but now is the time to get your fall wardrobe in shape for the fall season ahead. Fortunately for us, this year sees stunning sweaters, coats and jackets, with some new stores offering terrific styles. Look to some of the following for that perfect sweater or bag:

Fabulous Fashion

Manrico Cashmere - 922 Madison Avenue
Beautiful sweaters and shawls in exquisite colors. Look for the soon-to-come "Cashmere 2.0," which the company describes as fusing knitwear and fabric.

Christopher Fischer Cashmere - 1225 Madison Avenue - 80 Wooster Street
Fischer uses a classic material in fashion-forward styles to create modern, yet timeless sweaters, dresses and accessories.

Brunello Cucinelli - 379 Bleecker Street - 683 Madison Avenue
Another cashmere designer - but one that has expanded to include luxury apparel, as well. Look effortlessly stylish while keeping warm - the perfect combination for fall!

2014-08-26-LoroPianapanel1.jpg
Loro Piana - 748 Madison Avenue
I can't help it - I love shawls and wools of all kinds. Loro Piana has been trading fabrics since the early 19th century, and creating glorious garments and leather accessories for nearly a century. The craftsmanship is impeccable!

2014-08-26-Vincepanel1.jpg
Vince - Multiple locations
I truly love the collection at Vince this season, which combines military-inspired leathers, slouchy sweaters, and asymmetric wools for a perfect combination of practicality and style.

2014-08-26-Acnepanel2.jpg
Acne - 33 Greene Street
It's so easy to lapse into blacks, grays and oatmeals for winter - but not at Acne, which has clothing in stunning blues, rusts and mustards to keep your wardrobe interesting!

2014-08-26-ProenzaSchoulerpanel1.jpg
Proenza Schouler - 822 Madison Avenue - 121 Greene Street
Forget what I just wrote about blacks and oatmeals - Schouler's collection uses those fall and winter basics to stunning effect with daring cuts and just a hint of metallics.

Amazing Accessories

2014-08-26-Billykirkpanel1.jpg
Billykirk - 16A Orchard Street
Yes, the men in our lives can have stylish and practical leather and canvas accessories - just come to this brand-new shop from the Los Angeles-based company, which offers handmade goods by its own artisans or Amish crafters.

2014-08-26-WillLeatherGoodspanel1.jpg
Will Leather Goods - 29 Prince Street
Great quality materials and great workmanship (made in the USA) combine to make classic leather goods that last forever. Long sold in major luxury stores such as Saks, Will has just opened its first boutique here!

2014-08-26-ReedKrakoffpanel1.jpg
Reed Krakoff - 831 Madison Avenue
Coach's former creative director, Krakoff now showcases his own line of bags, shoes (and some apparel, including a python pencil skirt) that redefine American style, with a stunning use of color. Nothing here will ever go out of style.

Get ready for fall! Happy Shopping!
