The Faithful Shopper: Shine Bright Like a Diamond

My next installation for Christmas 2015 Holiday Windows is all about the jewels. Fifth Avenue is home to the biggest and best jewelry boutiques in the world. Hanging above the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street is the huge glowing snowflake that's become a holiday tradition in the city. The UNICEF Snowflake, is a 3,300 pound, 28-foot ornament made up of 16,000 hand-cut Baccarat crystals. The ornament is a beacon of hope, peace, and compassion for children everywhere.

Let's look at the displays of Christmas Tradition and a Yuletide Spirit of Sparkle....

Fifth Avenue

Tiffany & Co. -- 727 Fifth Avenue

A luxury winter wonderland in 19th century fashion. Every window has a miniature scene; white gates open a tree covered in Tiffany designs, porcelain cherubs in a winter wonderland, an ornate bow bridge with glistening timepiece below, a sleigh filled with jewels, a sweeping staircase covered with little blue boxes, and a beautiful stag covered with jewels. These windows are spectacular and decadent.

-- 744 Fifth Avenue Heavy holiday garlands surround the façade and majestic scenes showcase diamond-covered necklaces and watches in a snowscape with white flowers.
Harry Winston -- 718 Fifth Avenue One big massive sparkling jewelry box. This entire building takes your breath away.
- 767 Fifth Avenue Cartier dazzles the Apple Plaza with a massive glittering red bow topped by the brand's signature leopard. The windows themselves feature snowy mountains and snowballs.
-- 730 Fifth Avenue Here we see a massive, lighted pendant on top of the building that looks like one of Bulgari's magnificent necklaces draping the building.
Madison Avenue
shops are adorned for the holidays and the jewels and timepieces themselves are front and center...

Chopard -- 709 Madison Avenue

Graff -- 710 Madison Avenue

Buccellati -- 714 Madison Avenue

Paul Morelli -- 895 Madison Avenue

Check out any or all of these stores for timeless gifts for every wish. Ornate and classic, these shops never disappoint.

Happy Holidays and Happy Shopping!
