The Dramatic First Teaser For 'The Good Wife' Spinoff 'The Good Fight' Is Here

Things are about to "get nasty."

The first trailer for “The Good Wife” spinoff, “The Good Fight,” is finally here, and by the looks of it, Diane Lockhart and company are getting involved in all kinds of drama.

The clip kicks off with a voiceover by Diane, played once again by Christine Baranski, saying, “Practicing the law, you don’t go on instinct; you wait, you listen and watch.”

“Eventually everyone reveals themselves,” she adds, as dramatic music plays over a collection of clips.

The trailer also offers a glimpse at Cush Jumbo, who’s returning to play Lucca Quinn, and provides a look at new character Maia Sindell, played by Rose Leslie of “Game of Thrones” fame. Maia plays Diane’s goddaughter, a young lawyer whose reputation is ruined due to a massive financial scam, according to Entertainment Weekly. The outlet also revealed Maia’s character is a lesbian who’s in a relationship with a fellow lawyer named Amy (Helen Yorke).

EW reports “The Good Fight” picks up a year after the events of “The Good Wife” finale, which aired on May 8. The series premieres on Feb. 19 and will only air on CBS All Access.

This post has been updated to include more information about Maia’s character.
