Entrepreneurship has been around since the beginning of time—and donning that title is no easy feat.

When most of us think of power couples, we think of Bill & Melinda or Will & Jada. Well, there’s another powerhouse duo headquartered in Atlanta and they are leading the pack of young entrepreneurs with their multi-industry enterprise, The Grand Empire.

The Grand Empire is a mother corporation whose portfolio encompasses: Buckhead beauty juggernaut, Skin Salon Spa, Skin Medical Water (coming 2018), Life of G.O.D.S. fur coat line, The Purse Factory and a talent management sector.

The couplepreneurs behind the growing brand are just getting started. The world may not be ready for them, but with their current momentum, this force can’t—and won’t be stopped.

A Man On A Mission:

One half of The Grand Empire, Brandon LeGrant was born in Atlanta and raised in Brooklyn with his parents and two sisters. Always entrepreneurial in spirit, throughout his youth he was constantly researching and reading books on business, leadership, startups and prosperity.

Citing Warren Buffet, Sean Combs and Jay-Z atop the list of his influencers, it’s no surprise that he set out on an independent path, starting his first business at 18 years old.

“Your value doesn’t come from how you see yourself nor treat yourself, but how you affect those around you.” —Brandon LeGrant

With southern class and New York flair flowing through his veins, he embodies a unique approach to business. With 10+ years on the entertainment scene, he gives credit for his successes to his time in the Army (after high school) and time under the tutelage of Antwan Patton’s (of the hip-hop group Outkast) Purple Ribbon Records.

With the Army as his only structured employer, LeGrant decided that entrepreneurship was the only path for his life. As a father, he knew that he needed to embark on a mission that would allow him to lay the foundation of a lasting legacy—one that could be passed down to his children.

Delving deeper into the music world, he launched a career as a talent manager and later added another branch to his corporate plan with a one-stop location for ladies accessories, The Purse Factory.

To see him in action, you see firsthand why he’s on a path that’ll land him on a coveted Forbes list.

When most people think of a brainy woman, they probably visualize a stereotyped image of Plain Jane in glasses and a bun. When beauty pops into one’s mind—the first attributes that come to mind are probably aesthetic. And of course, most people assume that successful women in business keep their heads down, and don’t care about fashion, style or current events.

If all of the above is true, then Jazmin Meredith is what the millennials are calling a unicorn—a one-of-a-kind entity, possessing all three qualities. She’s a consummate force in the beauty and fashion industries. Hailing from DC, after attending University of Maryland College Park, Jazmin moved to Atlanta with one thing on her mind—professional growth. Before branching into incorporating her first brick and mortar business, she modeled and lent her creativity consulting on music videos.

After becoming a mother, she strived to take a large piece of the American Pie, and decided to open a business. Fitting right into her established repertoire, she opened a hair salon, Painted HD. Shortly thereafter; she enrolled at the Elaine Sterling Institute, graduated and expanded Painted HD to include the esthetic spa, Skin Salon Spa.

Her journey wasn’t easy, but with each goal, she kept her nose to the grindstone until she reached the finish line.

“I embrace the struggle because for me, giving up doesn't exist. You can create and recreate yourself and the life you desire. Time is a gift.” —Jazmin Meredith

The highly sought-after celebrity esthetician is a staple on the prestigious Buckhead beauty services scene. Her client roster includes, notable singers, rappers, models and prominent businesswomen. Treating each day like another opportunity to make her mark on the world, she has been called on by major television network executives to style talent and consult behind the scenes. Like her beau, she cites Jay-Z as an inspiration and can rival the uber CEO’s work ethic any day of the week.

Whoever said that a woman couldn’t be a boss and look good while working never met Jazmin.

The Dynamic Duo:

Meeting in 2015, Brandon and Jazmin met through mutual associates and became fast friends. As their paths kept crossing their fondness for each other grew into a friendship. As stars would align, their friendship would turn into a romantic relationship.

As two strong business leaders, with multiple individual enterprises under their belts, the pair decided to merge forces and incorporated The Grand Empire in 2017. Under this umbrella are two branches, talent management and a high-fashion fur coat line, Life Of G.O.D.S.—which debuted November 17th.

Within one week of inception, the fur line went viral among celebrities with R&B singer, K Michelle being the first to patronize the line with the Cruella 2K coat. Singer and actress Tammy Rivera, Award-Winning singer Fantasia, Rapper T.I.’s protégé Tokyo Jetz, reality star Tommie (Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta), Grammy winning music executive Stevie J. have called on the exclusive fur line to provide furs for television appearances, photo shoots, musical performances and commercials.

Coming spring 2018, the fashion line will expand to include broader pieces—with Brandon stepping forward, designing men’s pieces.

Under the talent management, Jazmin and Brandon manage Instagram influencer AmourJayda (Amour Jayda Hair) and actor Joshua Torrez (Chicago PD, Empire) respectively.

With 2017 ending on a high note, it’s safe to make an intelligent guess that 2018 will yield high returns on all of the hard work these two have put into building their larger than life family empire.
