'The Great Escape' Premiere: Bad Math Hinders One Team Trying To Escape From Alacatraz (VIDEO)

'The Great Escape' Premiere: Bad Math In Alcatraz

"The Great Escape" (Sun., 10 p.m. ET on TNT) debuted Sunday night with a series premiere episode set in -- where else? -- Alacatraz.

Teams had to solve a riddle that provided the combination to a padlock. The Green Team managed to solve the riddle but had evidently forgotten some of their math basics.

They spent so long trying to work it out that it cost them the race and a shot at the $100,000 grand prize.

"The Great Escape" is TNT's first reality competition show, and it is executive-produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer in collaboration with "The Amazing Race" heads, Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri. Hosted by Rich Eisen, it continues on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TNT.

TV Replay scours the vast television landscape to find the most interesting, amusing, and amazing moments - and delivers them right to your browser.
