The Heartbreaking Story That Truly Moved Sheryl Sandberg

In a conversation with Arianna Huffington at the World Economic Forum, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg talked about what had moved her most while in Davos: the story of a mother who learned her son was a jihadist.

"I hadn't really thought about the fact that these jihadists, who are committing such atrocities in the name of religious extremism, have mothers -- and mothers who are grieving along with them," said Sandberg. "That's pretty powerful. To see these mothers interviewed and talking about the sorrow that their lives have become... I think every mother does the best they can, and no one thinks this will happen in their family."

To hear more of the mother's story and how she is now working to help women in similar situations, watch the full HuffPost Live clip in the video above.
