There was no doubt that the second 2016 Presidential Debate had some very heated moments. According to CNN’s ORC Poll, Hilary Clinton won the debate by 57% to Donald Trump’s 34%. Here is what created those numbers.

Donald Trump made sure that he apologized during the debate for what he said in the video that just recently manifested with him saying lewd comments about women. Trump in that same breath also said that it was “Locker Room Talk”. Many found his “locker room talk” statement offensive and it made his apology look insincere.

To add insult to injury Donald Trump made the statement that if he were to become president he would go to the Justice Department and make sure that Hilary Clinton was thrown in Jail. This was the first time in a presidential race where a nominee threatened another nominee to have them thrown in jail.

In the debate, Donald Trump decided to attack Hilary Clinton more than answering the pressing questions that the American people had.

Upon leaving the debate reporters caught up with Hilary Clinton where she made the statement “I was surprised by the absolute avalanche of falsehoods”. Fact checking is definitely something that we should all be doing in this race.

I was able to catch up with Joe Watkins who is a Republican Strategist for MSNBC and he had a really strong message to send.

For many, neither one of these candidates are the ones that they want to see in office. With a Donald Trump victory getting smaller to near impossible, many Republicans are at a sigh of relief. Others are bracing for what the next four years are going to be like with Hilary Clinton as president. Either way, Joe Watkins said it the best, “ No one party has the monopoly of greater ideas or greater people”
