Lauren Conrad Wants You To Know The 'Real Story' In 'The Hills' Anniversary Trailer

Today is where your binge-watching begins.

This is the story of a girl named Lauren Conrad.

2016 marks the 10th anniversary of “The Hills” and MTV (and everybody in the 18-34 age bracket) is celebrating with a special titled “The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now.”

For the first time since the reality TV sensation’s series finale, Conrad will return to the network that made her a household name, reflect on the show’s cultural legacy and divulge some long-held secrets.

Was she actually locked in a basement? What was the deal with that sex tape? Has she purchased waterproof mascara? The answers await.

“So often we would say like, ‘If you knew the real story, you would understand.’ And what I’d like to do is tell that story,” she says in the trailer.

“We’re going to take a look back at the show and reveal things that we haven’t talked about before.”

The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now” airs Aug. 2 on MTV.
