The Olympics are the most watched event around the world. They bring in an average of 950 million dollars in revenue to the host country. The global phenomenon has brought together athletes of all shapes and sizes, defined incredible personalities, and created a beacon for peace on the global stage.
As we're in the midst of Rio 2016 we wanted to take a step back and look at the games as a whole. The Olympics are an incredibly important part of world culture that carries more than the symbolic weight of winning a gold medal. So let's go back to a time before hundreds of countries took part, and before the Olympics were a global event.
