'The Hunger Games' Tickets To Go On Sale A Month Before Release Date

The odds are definitely in the favor of the "Hunger Games" cast.

With the highly-anticipated "Hunger Games" in theaters only 74 days from now, fans have their bows and arrows ready to fight for seats in the theater. Luckily, Lionsgate has announced that tickets will officially go on sale a month before the film's release date.

This is probably a necessary move with the amount of buzz the movie is getting; today it was announced that Jennifer Lawrence will reveal the 2012 Oscar contenders, and Elizabeth Banks thinks the message of "Hunger Games" is more important than ever.

"'The Hunger Games' is so timely because it's about the overthrow of a totalitarian society and I'm pretty sure that's what's happening worldwide right now," Banks, who plays Effie Trinket, tells The Huffington Post. "To me the message of "The Hunger Games" is that revolution can come from one person, an act of kindness by one person. I think it's really important to tell kids that they matter, that individuals matter, and that everyone counts, and that to me is the message of 'The Hunger Games.' That's what I hope kids take away from it."

The Hunger Games hits theaters on March 23, 2012. Advance tickets can be purchased on February 22, 2012 at MovieTickets.com and Fandango.com.
