The latest in Seth Godin's meditations on art challenges readers to avoid becoming "cogs in the machine" and encourages them to be "disruptive." Godin, author of numerous books on marketing and creativity, has taken his own medicine with the promotion of this project, using Kickstarter to aid the launch.
As Godin himself explains on the Kickstarter page for the project, "This isn't a book about craft or paint or decoration. It's for anyone who cares a lot about why they went to work today and how they could do it better." The book is aimed at artists of all kinds, inviting them all to "fly close to the sun." An apt metaphor, or one taken a bit too far? Check out the trailer and let us know what you think in the comments.
