The Meaning of Life

Life isn't about control. It's about just being and doing and in this beingness and doingness we grow to be the perfect souls we were born to be. We learn to trust in ourselves and to truly love who we are. And best of all we learn to love the world we live in and all the life within it.

Moppet saw the world from up high.

He would look down at the world below and watch all that was going on.

Moppet flew over a zoo and saw the animals in their cages.

The tiger lurked in his lush and green cage. The walls prevented him from going further and he slowly perished.

The elephant in its concrete enclosure moved about and washed in the chlorinated pool unable to run and shake the earth.

The monkey swung from tree to tree and then stopped at the limiting netting.

Moppet flew on after, witnessing the pain and loneliness of being boxed in and unable to explore life as it should be explored.

Moppet stopped at a park where children played. There were no cages, no walls, but still he witnessed traps. The kids could not explore and learn. They were reprimanded and corrected. They were told how to think and how to be. They were forced to say "thank you" and "please". They were told they couldn't or shouldn't do.

Moppet flew on again feeling very sad for life on earth.

He stopped at a windowsill of a yellow house to rest. Moppet couldn't help but listen in. It was a mother and daughter. The daughter was being told she must do better, that if she didn't she would go nowhere in life. Moppet saw the release on the girls face. She would of course move on feeling forever lost giving up on what were once her dreams.

Moppet curled up in a rotten piece of window moulding contemplating what the purpose of life was. He had yet to witness life lived as he believed it was meant to be lived. He had an innate knowing that life wasn't about right or wrong or doing to be done but about just being who you really are.

It's through living that mistakes are made and feelings are hurt but happiness and fulfillment are achieved.

Life isn't about control. It's about just being and doing and in this beingness and doingness we grow to be the perfect souls we were born to be. We learn to trust in ourselves and to truly love who we are. And best of all we learn to love the world we live in and all the life within it.
